Behance
NOVA — Coffee Brand Identity & Packaging
ALMA — Visual Identity for a Contemporary Bakery
- Hero image.
- Scope.
NOVA is a conceptual coffee identity built around a modular symbol system inspired by roast profiles.
Scope Strategy direction / Logo / Type / Color / Pattern / Packaging / Social templates
Challenge
Concept / Idea
- Sketch
- Grid.
- Transformation.
- Final mark.
- Logo black on white.
- Reverse.
- Symbol.
- Wordmark.
- Lockups.
- Minimum/simplified variant
- baseline.
- spacing.
- optical alignment.
Palette: Red / Beige / Black
- Primary — Red.
- Background — Warm neutral.
- Text — Black.
- Accent — Secondary only.
Print + Screen:
- RGB/HEX
- CMYK/Pantone
CMYK source screenshots.
- Headline.
- Body.
- Arabic/English
- Numerals.
Pattern:
- Source element.
- Repeat logic.
- Scale variants.
- Application.
- Menu.
- Bag.
- Cup.
- Uniform maybe.
- Social.
- Box.
- Bag.
- Certificate card.
- Tag.
- Digital.
- Packaging.
- Label.
- Document.
- Vehicle if relevant.
- Core identity.
- Primary touchpoint.
- Secondary touchpoints.
- Digital.
- Environmental.
- Closing hero.
Packaging: Logo → Color/Type → Label flat → SKU system → Box → Bag → Social → Hero.
Behance Help Center
Padding.
Raster.
- GIF/video
Motion
- Logo responsive behavior.
- Pattern animation.
- Packaging rotation.
- Before/after system.
- Digital interaction.
Credits
Role Art direction / Identity / Packaging
Photography Name
3D Name
Client
Stock.
Agency.
Concept:
Concept.
- Project description يوضح Self-initiated.
Testimonial.
Concept
Case study
- Insight عام.
- Budget.
- Email.
- Presentation confidential.
- Strategy document
Redesign:
Scale.
Background.
Caption: Previous structure shown for hierarchy comparison.
Behance
Text.
Mobile
Behance
Preview.
Cover crop
Cover:
Full project hero.
Tags وCreative Field
Tools Used.
استخدم Tags فعلية: Branding Packaging Visual Identity Arabic Typography Label Design
لا تضع: Logo Branding Identity Brand Creative Art Design Best Trending...
Project Title
ALMA — Arabic Brand Identity & Packaging
Arabic title + English summary.
ALMA — Brand Identity & Packaging
2–3 Sections:
- Final brand spread.
- Hero mockup.
- Credits.
- CTA هادئ.
Thanks for viewing. For packaging and identity projects: fargpack.com
Autoplay.
Publish
القصة
- Cover
- Title
- Scope
- Challenge
- Concept
- Core identity قبل mockups.
- Applications
- Credits
- RGB.
- JPEG/PNG.
- Mobile reviewed.
- Concept
- Client permission.
- لا Work credit مسروق.
- Flat art.
- Detail.
- System.
- Application.

A strong brand identity project on Behance is not successful because the page is extremely long or because it contains twenty-five mockups. It succeeds when the viewer can understand within the first minute: What is the brand? What was the objective or problem? What system did you create? How does that system work across different applications?
Behance is a visual platform, but that does not make text unnecessary. A beautiful logo image does not explain why a simplified mark exists, how colors are assigned, why a pattern was created, or what proves that the work is a coherent identity rather than an unrelated collection of mockups.
The goal is therefore to build a visual sequence that explains the logic with only as much text as necessary.
The cover image is a promise about the project
Behance describes cover images as a key part of the browsing experience and a small preview of what viewers will find inside a project. According to its current Help Center guidance, cover images display at approximately 202×158 px in standard browsing contexts, while uploaded covers should be at least 808×632 px for good high-density display.
That means the cover has to work small.
Avoid:
- a collage of twelve tiny applications
- tiny copy
- a miniature logo surrounded by excessive empty space
- fine details that disappear at thumbnail size
Test your cover around 202×158 px.
Can the idea still be recognized?
A useful cover might be:
- logo + one strong application
- symbol + distinctive color
- packaging hero
- one recognizable visual-identity moment
The cover is not a miniature brand-guidelines page.
Use a title that tells viewers what they are looking at
Behance requires a Project Title to publish, along with a selected Creative Field, and suggests adding tags and tools.
Weak: NOVA
Clearer: NOVA — Coffee Brand Identity & Packaging
or: ALMA — Visual Identity for a Contemporary Bakery
For concept work: NOVA — Concept Brand Identity
This avoids implying an official client project.
Do not use “Award-winning” unless a real award exists.
First project screen: explain the project in ten seconds
Begin with:
- hero image
- one or two lines
- project scope
Example:
NOVA is a conceptual coffee identity built around a modular symbol system inspired by roast profiles.
Scope
Identity direction / Logo / Typography / Color / Pattern / Packaging / Social templates
Now the viewer knows what the following images mean.
For bilingual projects, choose a primary language and add a concise secondary-language summary, or build a genuinely bilingual presentation when the audience justifies it. Avoid doubling every paragraph if the result becomes visually heavy.
State the challenge without writing a long fictional story
A concise challenge might be:
“The identity needs to work across small retail bags, cups, and digital content while distinguishing four product categories without creating a different logo for each.”
That is enough.
Avoid openings such as: “In a fast-moving world where dreams meet flavor…”
Generic storytelling spends attention before the work begins.
Then show the core idea
A concept section might explain:
“The symbol is built from two geometric modules that can rotate to create the pattern and supporting icon language.”
Show:
- selected sketch
- structural grid
- transformation
- final mark
Do not upload forty random sketches simply to prove that exploration happened.
Choose sketches that explain why the final decision exists.
Show the logo flat before the mockups
A strong order is:
- black on white
- reverse version
- symbol
- wordmark
- lockups
- simplified/responsive mark when relevant
Then move to applications.
Viewers should see the identity itself before seeing it embossed on a cinematic coffee cup.
Mockups can hide proportion problems; flat artwork exposes them.
Explain logic instead of decorating it with grids
If the mark combines two letterforms:
- show the letters
- show their overlap
- show what was removed
- show optical alignment
Do not add a “golden ratio” grid unless it actually describes the design process.
A complex geometry diagram can look impressive while communicating nothing.
If you used a real grid, explain what it controls:
- baseline
- spacing
- alignment
- construction
Color sections should explain roles
Instead of only: Red / Beige / Black
show:
- Primary — Red
- Background — Warm neutral
- Text — Black
- Accent — Secondary use only
Then show those roles in real applications.
If the identity includes both screen and print references, distinguish them:
- RGB/HEX for digital
- CMYK/Pantone or production references where approved
Do not promise exact screen-to-print matching.
Behance notes that because screens are RGB, uploaded CMYK images are converted for display and colors may appear differently. Export project presentation images in RGB under a controlled color workflow rather than uploading CMYK source screenshots and hoping for perfect conversion.
Typography should be shown in use
Display:
- headline behavior
- body text
- Arabic/English pairing when applicable
- numerals
- a real application
You do not always need ten screens of A–Z specimens.
If the typeface is licensed, do not distribute the font file.
If you created custom lettering, explain which part is custom.
Show how the pattern was derived
A strong pattern section shows:
- source element
- repeat logic
- scale variations
- application
This is more useful than placing the same pattern behind five mockups.
If the pattern comes from the logo, extract a visual unit rather than distorting the master logo itself.
Select applications that prove the system
For a restaurant:
- menu
- bag
- cup
- relevant uniform or signage
- social template
For jewelry:
- box
- bag
- certificate
- tag
- digital touchpoint
For a manufacturer:
- packaging
- label
- document
- vehicle graphics if actually relevant
Do not place the identity on airplanes, skyscrapers, or billboards only because a mockup template exists.
Applications should prove: This system works here.
Sequence applications from core to expanded context
A useful flow:
- core identity
- primary touchpoint
- secondary touchpoints
- digital
- environmental
- closing hero
For packaging-focused identity: Logo → Color/Type → Flat label → SKU system → Box → Bag → Social → Final hero.
Do not open with a full retail environment and explain the logo twenty images later.
Behance image specifications matter before export
Current Behance Help Center guidance recommends project images:
- JPEG or PNG
- 2800 px wide or smaller
- generally 10 MB or less for faster loading
- no files larger than 50 MB
- project view displays images at 1400 px wide
- lightbox can display up to 2800 px
- images under 1400 px are shown at their native uploaded size with padding
- PDF is not directly accepted as project content; converting PDF pages to images is recommended
These are Behance-specific platform guidelines, not universal web-image requirements.
A practical workflow: Master visual → export up to 2800 px wide → RGB → optimized JPEG/PNG → inspect at 100%.
There is rarely a reason to upload an 8000 px image simply because the original render is that large.
Avoid one giant long image when modular content would be better
A single tall image can be convenient but creates problems:
- slow loading
- difficult updates
- one failure affects a large part of the project
- text becomes rasterized
- mobile typography may become tiny
A more flexible project often uses:
- separate images
- Behance text modules
- media embeds where needed
- GIF/video only when motion explains something
Behance allows images, text, embeds, and reordered project content.
Use the platform as a page, not only as an image dump.
Motion should prove behavior
Motion makes sense for:
- responsive logo states
- animated pattern logic
- packaging rotation
- controlled before/after sequence
- digital identity behavior
Do not add a GIF to every section.
If motion contributes no new information, a still image is faster and clearer.
State role and credits
Near the end:
Role
Art direction / Identity / Packaging
Photography
Name
3D
Name
Client
where permitted
Behance supports project co-owners and credits. Use them.
Do not claim:
- photography you did not shoot
- stock illustration as original
- 3D created by another artist
- strategy developed by an agency
Crediting collaborators increases trust.
Rights and licensing belong in the publishing workflow
Behance project settings include Copyright & License options.
Before publishing, verify:
- stock licenses permit portfolio display
- mockup licenses allow this usage
- the client permits publication
- no NDA blocks the project
- typeface licensing is respected
- third-party photography is credited
Do not upload source assets you do not have the right to redistribute.
Concept work should be obvious from the start
For self-initiated work:
- include “Concept” in title or summary
- explain that it is self-initiated
- do not invent a client
- do not add fake testimonials
- do not add sales results
Concept projects are valid.
The credibility problem begins only when they are presented as commercial commissions that never happened.
A case study does not mean exposing confidential material
Show:
- design insight
- decision
- result
Do not expose:
- client budget
- supplier lists
- emails
- confidential presentations
- private sales data
- full strategic documents
A good case study demonstrates thinking without publishing the entire project archive.
Before/after needs fairness
If the project is a redesign:
- use the same scale
- same background
- same angle
- clear caption
Do not deliberately make the original image look worse.
If you cannot legally or contractually show the previous design, create a neutral diagram explaining the structural problem instead.
Keep long explanatory text out of raster images when possible
Text inside JPEG images:
- is not searchable as page text
- can become small on mobile
- is harder to update
- can suffer from compression
Use raster text for short graphic labels or diagrams.
Use Behance text modules for meaningful paragraphs where practical.
Review on mobile
Behance projects are viewed on phones.
Check:
- image readability at narrow width
- whether three-column boards collapse visually
- whether logo grids become too small
- whether animated media becomes heavy
- whether captions remain readable
If a board contains six columns, split it into multiple frames instead of shrinking every element.
Protect the cover crop
Behance lets you crop the cover.
Leave safe area:
- around logo
- around text
- around faces/objects
Do not put critical copy against the edge.
The cover crop is not necessarily identical to the project hero image.
Tags and Creative Fields are classification tools
Behance requires a Creative Field and suggests project tags and tools.
Use relevant tags such as:
Branding
Packaging
Visual Identity
Arabic Typography
Label Design
Avoid keyword dumping: Logo Branding Identity Creative Art Best Trending Amazing...
Tags cannot rescue a weak project narrative.
Arabic or English title?
Choose based on audience.
Possible: ALMA — Arabic Brand Identity & Packaging
or bilingual: هوية ALMA — Brand Identity & Packaging
Maintain clarity.
A creative project name can stay prominent, but the type of project should still be understandable from the listing.
End deliberately
The final sections can be:
- complete brand spread
- strongest hero mockup
- credits
- quiet CTA
Example:
Thanks for viewing.
For packaging and identity projects: fargpack.com
Avoid ending with eight social buttons and an autoplay video.
A calm ending often feels more professional.
Pre-publish checklist

- licensed external assets
- accurate credits
Visual variety
- flat artwork
- detail
- system logic
- relevant application
- not twenty versions of the same mockup
Final takeaway
Presenting a brand identity on Behance is an editing task, not an accumulation task. Start with a cover that reads small, define the project quickly, show the logo and system before the applications, and choose mockups that prove real use. Follow Behance’s current image guidance, export in RGB, and keep files practical. Most importantly, credit collaborators, identify concept work honestly, and never use image quantity to compensate for the absence of a coherent identity idea. A strong project lets the viewer understand how the brand system works before they click Appreciate.
